Summer Reader Book Tag

Look at me, doing another tag I wasn’t tagged in LOL I’m trash it’s fine. I saw this one on Thrice Read and just had to do it! It’s all summer themed, and since my birthday is smack dab in the middle of it (July 12), it’s perfect! Let’s get started!

Lemonade: pick a book that started off bitter but got better.

Isla and the Happily Ever After. I really couldn’t like Isla in the beginning but she definitely grew on me!

Golden Sun: pick a book that made you smile beyond compare.

Chasing Impossible by Katie McGarry. So much drama but the ending had my face splitting in two.

Tropical Flowers: pick a book set in a foreign country.

All Fall Down by Ally Carter. Since it takes place on Embassy Row, we technically step into dozens of countries!

Tree Shade: pick a book in which a mysterious or shady character was first introduced.

Tbh which character in The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic wasn’t slightly shady?

Beach Sand: pick a book that was grainy, and the plot barely developed.

Death in Venice by Thomas Mann. Literally what happened in this book. Nothing. At all.

Green Grass: pick a character(s) that were full of life, making you smile.

I 100% LIVE for the girls (Cassie, Lia, Sloane) from The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

Watermelon: pick a book that had some juicy secrets.

The whole plot of Winterspell by Claire Legrand kick-starts because of a deeply held secret.

Sun Hat: pick a book that had a vast, big universe/setting.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir has such an incredibly complex world/system.

BBQ: pick a book in which a character was portrayed as a hunk.

Thomas from Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco is obvs a great choice for this one; and he definitely IS a hunk, tbh.

Let me know what your answers are in the comments! Hope you enjoyed reading this super old, non-tagged tag lol 🙂

xoxo y’all,
Kerri
